What Is The Average Age Of First Time Home Buyer?

I’m 24 years old and I’ll be finished with college in about a year. I’m looking into purchasing my own home after college. For my line of work, I’ll earning about 55K a year.
Should I wait a couple of years and buy the house in the range of 200K-300K or should I buy a small house first in the range of 80K-100K?
I’m also looking into the real estate business. Any comment/suggestion is appreciated.
