Is It Possible For 2 Couples To Get A Mortgage Together?

My husband and I have lousy credit but make good money. My best friend and his wife have the same problem. Neither of us can get approved for a mortgage on our own. I am wondering if there are mortgages out there where more than 2 people can own a home. We are both renting in the same apartment complex right now and we practically live together anyway, but we really want out of here and want a place of our own. Any information you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

What Is It Called When You And Others Own Property Together?

I am looking into purchasing the upper duplex unit of a duplex property. My uncle owns the bottom unit, and I want to purchase the top from my father. I am looking up some information on this idea regarding taxes, contracts, etc. and cannot find the exact name of what I am trying to do. I tried “shared property” and that didn’t work. Any ideas? If 2 Single People Buy A Home Together, Can They Both Receive The First Time Home Buyer Credit Individually?

I have read a lot on the topic of the new first time home buyer tax credit but I couldn’t find the answer to this question in an frequently asked questions section. They outline the details of a single person buying a home and a married couple buying a home but not 2 single people together, like a boyfriend and girlfriend couple or couples of the same sex.

My Ex-partner And I Bought A Second Home Together (holiday Home) And Now We Have Separated?

The property was bought with a joint mortgage. I am now financially unable to meet my half of the mortgage. We tried to sell the property but with the market as it is have been unable to do so. Can you please give me the worst case scenario if I no longer pay my contribution to the mortgage and my partner refuses to take on sole responsibility for the same. What action can he take against me. I just dont know which way to turn as I am pretty sure in this financial climate he will be unwilling to take sole responsibility even though he is financially able to do so.
