What Are The Tax Laws Concerning The Sale Of A Property?

I’ve been told that if I hold the money made from a property sale in an account with the intent on useing it to buy a property in the future that I’ll be liable for an added tax of some description when I withdraw it to use as a deposite. Is this true? Does anybody know the truth about the tax laws concerning profit made from a house sale?

Can An Employer Force You To Stay Home Without Pay On Days Preceding A Holiday? Are There Any Laws?

My friend’s employer is forcing all the people in the office to stay home on 01/29, 01/30, 01/31 without pay. They are not shutting down and allowing them to collect unemployment but they are requesting in writing a reason for them to work on those days. Are there any labor laws governing this?

What Are The Property Right Laws Involving Suburban Cable Boxes?

When I was a kid, we moved into a new house in the suburbs that had the cable box for the whole neighborhood in our back yard. It said all over it, “Do not tamper” and all that fun federal offense stuff. But it was on our property. Could we have charged them rent? Or built a shed around it that said “No Trespassing”? This is all hypothetical.
