What’s The Difference Between Not Having Your Name On A Deed But Your Name On The Mortgage?
My fiance owned a house about five yrs ago and was renting it out in Florida. Major repairs needed to be done on it and she couldn’t afford to make them. So she asked for a gentleman’s help. He agreed only to do this if his name was on the deed to make sure he was payed back. The problem she has is that she wants to buy another house but her credit report shows he pays the mortgage late 30 days every month. Is it his house since his name is on the deed or is it her house cause it’s her mortgage, or is it both there houses? And can he sell the house without her knowledge?
