People Should Have The Right To A Life Lease On Land. Any Recent Examples Of This Practice?.?
This should be without payment to governments businesses or private individuals. This should be allotted to them when they reach the age of majority. They will have the choice to use it or not , in which case it can be allotted to another. Use of land (not all land) should be a right. Commercial use of land can still continue, but the fat profits enjoyed by the lucky few who can hold the many to ransom due to the need to put a roof over their heads will be tempered and the landless/homeless will get a better quality of life. A house in london or its suburbs is not in the reach of a regular salaried employee , and those that have recently entered the property ladder have mortgaged 60% or more of their income just to house themselves. This can not be fair or equitable. An alternative should be found. Likewise in less developed countries the right to use and live on land (not ownership which can be sold) should be a basic policy of all nations giving people the option to live cheaply .
I agree only with you on that there should be an alternative when it comes to mortages and the % that is charged.
I DO NOT agree that anyone should get land or a home for free.

Wow! I thought the logic of communism had sputtered out years ago. But alas folks who want a free ride are always willing to twist logic so that they benifit. 1st point: if you give folks land for free then you find that it is worth nothing to them and they will squander it just like if you give them free money. Eventually you will have an unequal distribution of everything again. Besides if you apportion land, some land is better than others. You might wind up with a little square on the top of some barren windblown rock in Norhern Scotland while your friend might own a chunk of prime real estate in some balmy part with nice trees. Good luck on your utopia. You will find that others are just as greedy as you about wanting folks to give you stuff for free.
What are you ranting about? BUY the freaking land and you can do what you want. a 100-year lease is good enough if you just have to make a lease. there is no point building on leased land. Put down the crack pipe and step away from the computer.
Being a householder is NOT A RIGHT. It is a privilege earned by being able to afford to buy. The rest of us rent what we can. Get over it.
